The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) must approve all courses and instructors for pesticide applicator certification and recertification training. Instructions for course sponsors, including the necessary forms, are available on the NYSDEC’s Sponsor a Pesticide Course page. You can search for approved instructors in NYSDEC’s Pesticide Training Course Database.
NYSDEC also has additional requirements for distance-learning courses (e.g., online courses).
